Volunteers get the registration forms and enter the runner's information into the computer system. We have a network of microcomputers and programs to assist in the process. We also verify the information entered and maintain counts of registered runners. Some personal computer experience is helpful but not required. Keyboard (typing) experience is more important. However, some tasks (sorting, counting, cleanup, etc.) do not require the use of a computer. Training will be provided.
Advanced (normal) registration processing starts March 31st and finishes by April 20th. The work will be done in the Bloomsday building located at 1859 W. West Broadway, with shifts Monday through Friday in the morning (9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.), afternoon (1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.) and evening (5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.). We can be flexible with the hours somewhat, but we want to keep the workstations productive.
Late registration processing is Friday, May 2 (noon to 4:00 p.m. & 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.) and Saturday, May 3 (8:00 a.m. to noon, noon to 4:00 p.m., & 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.). Work is done at the Spokane Convention Center (Exhibition Hall) in the packet pickup area. Only volunteers who have done "advanced registration" will be accepted for late registration, because late registration is not a place to learn as you go.
